Cobra has given last season's DarkSpeed irons a nice refresh where technology and looks have been overtly updated. This has resulted in the 2025 Cobra DS-Adapt series of irons (DS=DarkSpeed) where techniques like the 360 SpeedShell Face Insert, the PWR-Bridge and the Hollow Construction have been optimised. The result is a set of powerful, forgiving irons for mid-handicappers with even more feel and feedback, very distinctive, especially for this segment.

_{The technique} 

In the 2025 Cobra DS Adapt series, there are two versions in the irons, aimed at two different level golfers. For instance, these 'normal' DS-Adapt irons are aimed at golfers with a handicap of 5 to 24 while the Cobra DS-Adapt Max version are optimised for golfers with handicaps above 20. Difference between those two types of irons can be traced to slightly higher lofts and ball flight in the Max version. Compared to the DS-Adapt Max version, you give up some forgiveness in exchange for distance and more feel with the DS-Adapt. Subtle differences that make for a slightly different character.
These irons have an optimised Hollow Body Construction, filled with Tuned Acoustic Foam that provides cushioning and fantastic feel and feedback. The 360 SpeedShell Face with the well-known H.O.T. technique has 25% more flexibility this season than last. This provides even more explosiveness and power. The PWR-BRIDGE that Cobra has incorporated in its irons in recent years has also been optimised, resulting in better playability. Finally, the new Internal Adaptive Weighting System ensures that the centre of gravity is lowered, making it easier for the ball to gain height. All in all, this 2025 Cobra DS-Adapt is an advanced, very enjoyable playing iron set!
