In the updated 2025 edition, this Cobra Fly-XL Complete Men's Golf Set, made of fine materials, is a fine, A-brand set. Golf manufacturer Cobra aims at both beginners and (slightly) advanced golfers (HCP 18-54). Enthusiastic golfers looking for a high-quality, complete golf set who do not (yet) want to spend a few thousand euros for it, have a great solution with this Cobra men's golf set. In terms of finish, use of materials and playing characteristics, this is a very good alternative in which the difference with the budget class up to € 500 is huge in many areas. However, boxed sets have one fixed composition which means that expanding or adjusting specifications is not an option (apart from the grips).

_Technology

In terms of characteristics, the clubs in the Cobra Fly-XL 2025 series are specifically designed for golfers who do not want to make things too difficult for themselves. Accessibility is thus guaranteed due to the enormous stack of forgiving characteristics integrated into the material. Hitting hard straight through is not a cakewalk, thanks to the huge tee shots, the low center of gravity in the club heads and the oversized club heads (golf remains a tricky sport) but at least it is as easy as possible. With diverting strokes, which often happens with beginners, the ball doesn't fly off the course at a right angle, which is very nice.
In the driver, fairway wood and hybrid club, a weight has been integrated low and as far back as possible in the club head in order to maximize forgiveness. This makes the ball flight a little higher and a little more predictable. The included hybrid club also makes it easier to play a long, high ball from a bad position (high grass). Once on the green, you will have a fine, top-heavy putter with classic Blade design head. This gives you excellent control over what you do with the ball and makes putting with feeling less difficult.

Even for a starter set, the quality of the included Cobra golf bag with a 14-way top is remarkably good. This golf bag has a total of 9 storage compartments (2 clothing compartments, 1 waterproof compartment, 2 bottle compartments, one ball compartment, etc.), absolutely a neat appearance. All in all a solid, good looking set of nice materials including black-pink coloured cart bag with a lot of handy details...
