General
Just as starting and somewhat advanced golfers seek irons that offer maximum forgiveness, (far) advanced golfers are happy to trade much of that forgiveness for more feedback, feel and control. Forgiveness forces your ball straight and up as much as possible, and starters need that to play better golf. Advanced golfers want to take control and decide which ball flight to hit and when. This category of golfers will be delighted by these chic, black Cobra King Forged Tec Black 2023 irons. Not cast in a mould, but a head forged from mild steel gives you a can of extra options. That's what we call Players Irons!
The technique
In this luxurious black 2023 version of the Cobra King Forged Tec Black irons, a lot of technology has been integrated to create the ideal combination between power, feel and control. The PWRSHELL Clubface is so thin and flexible that the ball speed is maximized. A 20 gram Tungsten weight has been strategically placed to guarantee an explosive ball speed. The Hollow Body Design places the weight of the head more on the outside of the club, which in addition to increasing speed also creates a decent degree of forgiveness to help maintain ball control. Apart from that, the black-finished clubhead looks and elegant and sleek with a thin top line. Gorgeous!
Steel or graphite shaft?
The choice between steel or graphite shafted irons is not a question of better or worse but about your preference. If you prefer light, top-heavy feel irons that absorb the annoying vibration of mishits well, then irons with graphite shafts might be better for you. Lighter clubs will give you a bit more club speed so graphite shafts will give you a bit more yardage as well. Steel shafts give more (valuable) feedback on how you hit the ball. In addition, steel is slightly heavier but also less vulnerable to damage. Golfers with a higher swing speed often choose steel shafts because graphite can be too flexible in comparison. Well... make the choice that suits you.
Cobra Connect: free Arccos Sensor + App
A nice bonus is the free Arccos sensor, which you can order for free at Arccos after purchasing a Cobra King club or set (with QR code on the club). You can easily attach this sensor to the back of your golf club grip. Then you link your Cobra club(s) wirelessly with the Arccos App which you download for free on your smartphone. You can then use a free trial subscription for 45 days. If you like it, you can convert this into an annual subscription (€ 99.00).
The Arccos App generates data on your performance and progress to improve your handicap. It also contains maps of some 40,000 golf courses worldwide, so you will know your way around virtually everyone. Very convenient!
