General
They are SO cleverly developed, these beautiful, black Cobra King Forged Tec-X Black 2023 irons. In fact, the engineers have developed irons that look like 'Players irons' for advanced golfers but have the properties of Game Improvers! Very forgiving but, as Forged irons, still very sensitive and full of feedback. This is the Tec-X version with graphite shafts.
The technique
These King Tec-X irons look really nice and luxurious and they are packed with the latest technology to offer the maximum in playing characteristics. These clubs combine the sensitivity of Forged irons with a huge amount of forgiveness without losing power and feel. The PWRSHELL Clubface is made so thin and flexible that it maximises ball speed. In this Tec-X, a 65g Tungsten weight is placed in the clubface (compared to 20g for Tec), which not only guarantees ball speed but also creates more forgiveness than Tec irons. The Hollow Body Design, which places the weight in the clubhead more towards the outside of the club, also aims to boost that forgiveness. The foam in with which the hollow inside is filled brings stability and prevents resonance. Apart from that, this all-black club looks very elegant. Gorgeous!
Steel or graphite shaft?
The choice between steel or graphite shafted irons is not a question of better or worse but about your preference. If you prefer light, top-heavy feel irons that absorb the annoying vibration of mishits well, then irons with graphite shafts might be better for you. Lighter clubs will give you a bit more club speed so graphite shafts will give you a bit more yardage as well. Steel shafts give more (valuable) feedback on how you hit the ball. In addition, steel is slightly heavier but also less vulnerable to damage. Golfers with a higher swing speed often choose steel shafts because graphite can be too flexible in comparison. Well... make the choice that suits you.
Cobra Connect: free Arccos Sensor + App
A nice bonus is the free Arccos sensor, which you can order for free at Arccos after purchasing a Cobra King club or set (with QR code on the club). You can easily attach this sensor to the back of your golf club grip. Then you link your Cobra club(s) wirelessly with the Arccos App which you download for free on your smartphone. You can then use a free trial subscription for 45 days. If you like it, you can convert this into an annual subscription (€ 99.00).
The Arccos App generates data on your performance and progress to improve your handicap. It also contains maps of some 40,000 golf courses worldwide, so you will know your way around virtually everyone. Very convenient!
