General
TaylorMade, after the successful Stealth series of golf clubs from the 2022 and 2023 collections, has introduced for 2024 the Qi10 collection of which this TaylorMade Qi10 Hybrid Club 2024 is a part. With a fresh look at shaping and design, the specifications have been taken to an even higher level. This makes this Qi10 Max "rescue club" a highly playable, maximum forgiveness club for a broad, quality-oriented golfing audience. Many upgraded innovations as well as the new Split Weight Design face allow for improved balance and thus greater playability.
Different versions
In the 2024 TaylorMade Qi10 series of hybrid clubs 2024 there is a choice of 3 different versions. Largely leaning on the same technology, similar in design but different in details like balance, adjustability and ball flight characteristics you can choose which of the three suits you best. The Qi10 Max version which, due to a different balance, promotes a higher, Draw-like ball flight making it more interesting for golfers struggling with a persistent slice or who want to hit a Draw (a controlled ball flight over right) more easily 'on command'. The "neutral" Qi10 version is probably for the largest group of golfers looking for a combination of a lot of forgiveness and a lot of power without sacrificing control. The third version, the Qi10 Tour Hybrid club, is for the more advanced or more demanding golfer looking for a maximally adjustable and controllable version. The Tour version also has loft adjustability, very useful for shaping the flight of the ball, even though it is flatter than the other two versions.
The technique
The Qi10 hybrid club series is beautiful and in this Max version both design and specifications have been taken to the next level. It continues the trend of using a higher percentage of Carbon in the clubhead with more stability and a lower center of gravity for more forgiveness and better balance. First, there are improvements to the V-Steel Sole Design for less drag with the ground. In addition, an upgraded Twist Face technique ensures less "damage" to balls that are hit out of bounds and the forgiveness is also better due to the improved Thru-Slot SpeedPocket design. One of the new details is the Split Weight Design innovation where the 450SS Clubface (face) is thinner in the middle and thicker around the edges, with a thicker sheath around the middle to maximize speed across the entire face. All in all, an all-around club for more versatility and lots of forgiveness.
Standard version
This TaylorMade Qi10 Max Hybrid Club comes standard with the Fujikura Speeder NX TCS 50 graphite shaft for a slightly higher ball flight, complemented by a 47 gram Lamkin Crossline 360 Standard men's grip.
