The TaylorMade Milled Grind 4 Wedge, introduced in late 2023, are available in both Chrome and Black versions. This improved MG4 version features laser-applied RAW Micro-Ribs grooves for even more spin and control during strokes around the green. The hitting surface will rust over time, precisely to make the surface even more slippery making lots of spin hitting easier.

_{The technique}

When you look at it in detail, it is immediately noticeable: this MG-4 is a top-of-the-line wedge series but still made for golfers of all levels who are looking for more spin and control. To facilitate the latter, these MG4 wedges feature an updated RAW Face Technology groove pattern on the face. This gives this club more grip on the ball and creates even easier spin on the ball. Specifically in wet conditions, this groove pattern provides significantly more grip than before.
As far as spin (and therefore control) is concerned, it also helps that they have made the clubface fast rusting. This makes the hitting surface even stiffer.
This 4th generation of TaylorMade Milled Grind wedges has been slightly sharpened in terms of shape to improve playability even more. The version with standard bounce (SB) is the most "universal" in terms of suitability for any surface. It does not matter so much whether the surface is soft or hard.
