For the 2024 season, TaylorMade has developed the Qi10 Driver of which this is the Qi10 Max version. After two seasons when TaylorMade pioneered the revolutionary, 100% Carbon Clubface (face) in the Stealth and Stealth-2 drivers, this year they have 'tinkered' hard with the stability of the driver. This is because when you don't hit the ball centrally on the clubface, the clubface rotates slightly, causing a deviation in the ball's departure direction. Increasing the MOI (Moment Of Inertia) reduces this deviation. With the Qi10 range of drivers, TaylorMade has managed to maximise the MOI to 10,000 (with this Qi10 Max), a value significantly lower than most other top brands. In short: the TaylorMade Qi-10, alongside the so successful technology from the Stealth series of recent years, brings a more stable, more forgiving driver that also looks great. Available in three different versions.
Three different versions
The 2024 TaylorMade Qi10 series of drivers is available in three different versions: the Qi10, the Qi10 Max and the Qi10 LS. Much technology is shared but distinctions have been made in detail to best serve golfers at differences levels.
This is the most forgiving driver in the series: the TaylorMade Qi Max driver. This version has the very highest MOI (10K) and also the largest clubhead of the three. The balance/weight distribution has been adjusted slightly here, giving this version a slight Draw setting which makes the ball flight a bit higher and more predictable. This is interesting for golfers struggling with a persistent slice, for example.
Then there is also the TaylorMade Qi10 driver, the most neutral model of the three. It is aimed at the large group of golfers looking for a fine combination of forgiveness and power without losing control. Finally, for the more advanced or demanding golfer, there is the most widely adjustable TaylorMade Qi10 LS version where LS stands for Low Spin. That LS version has a slightly lower, flatter ball flight and proportionally more weight in the front of the clubhead, behind the face. This is done to keep the ball flight and spin ratio lower for more control, feel and feedback. This Qi10 LS is easily identified by the sliding balance weight in the crown that allows easy adjustment to match your ball flight exactly to your needs.
Technique
This TaylorMade Qi10 is the third generation of drivers with the revolutionary, 100% Carbon Clubface. Constructed from 60 layers of carbon, this face provides strikingly pleasing, stable ball contact and lots of forgiveness. It also ensures that the centre of gravity (CG) in the clubface is even lower, making it easier to launch the ball into the air. This face is encased in a polyurethane cover with Nanotexture Technology to optimise fine-tuning, spin and distance, whatever the playing conditions. In the 2024 drivers, this face is blue in colour, unlike its predecessors where it was red.
The New Infinity Carbon Crown (top of the clubhead) with subtle lines is lighter than ever in the Qi 2024 drivers. The weight saved creates a lower centre of gravity in the bottom of the clubhead. Energy transfer to the ball is also greater than ever with the redesigned clubhead. The Twist Face Technology employed by TaylorMade since the Sim series (2020) has also been re-integrated and optimised so that even an 'off-centre hit' (ball contact next to the sweetspot) is much less likely to end in a dramatic drift-off.

In addition to the list of improvements, TaylorMade has also integrated many existing technologies. For example, all Qi-10 drivers have the Loft-Sleeve that makes the clubhead adjustable in loft over a 4-degree trajectory. The ball speed-enhancing Thru-Slot Speed Pocket, which proves its usefulness especially when balls are hit (too) low, has also been incorporated into the new drivers. In short: the list of specifications and techniques in the TaylorMade Qi10 drivers is endless. The only important thing to remember from this is that it makes this driver series very nice to have in your bag.
