For years, Wilson has been very successful in providing golf equipment for the entry-level and somewhat advanced golfers segment. Many enthusiasts who do not want to spend a fortune on their set immediately have mastered golf with Wilson 'boxed sets'. Anno 2024, with the introduction of the Wilson Players Fit sets, a substantial update has been made in both finish, materials and technology. This set of irons with graphite shafts are from those Player Fit sets. As with many golf clubs in this segment, we are talking about irons with the necessary built-in 'technical help' to maximise forgiveness. As a result, 'not quite hitting the ball cleanly' is not immediately punished harshly, which is nice.

_{The technique}

These Player Fit irons from Wilson have the technical features to maximise forgiveness. As a result, it is no longer necessary to hit the ball exactly pure on the centre of the clubface in order to hit the ball far and straight. The margin you as a player get for this with this type of club is greater than before which guarantees more playing pleasure!
The heads of the irons in this Wilson series of clubs are 'oversized', i.e. somewhat larger than standard. The sweet spot (ideal hitting point) on the clubface is also quite large. These irons also have a low centre of gravity in the clubhead. This is because most of the weight is in the sole/bottom of the head, which maximises forgiveness and makes it easy to get the ball in the air.

At these Wilson Player Fit irons are fitted with a lightweight Wilson Player Fit graphite shaft fitted with standard Wilson men's grips. Club fitting is limited in this series to adjusting the grips (at extra cost).
